hadn't youtube been an asshole with its community captions removal, we'd already done that or to be exact, this feature recently been brought back, but in form of Subtitle Editor permission level in YouTube Studio https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/11983512 frankly speaking: you have to contact your favourite youtuber and ask him to give/handle you this role to be able to write subtitles gone is the community feel of subtitles, because youtube thought it was abusing, spam, and all sorts of shit they could come up with as a one who made dozens of translations (for channels like GuitarHeroStyles, KuruHS, MVG, 8-Bit Guy), i still can't forgive these motherfuckers for what they did
